With the impending release of his latest studio album ('Rainbow Valley' this Friday 2 November), Matt Corby has announced a massive 2019 national tour that will also reach regional areas: Rockhampton, Townsville, Cairns, Canberra, Gold Coast, Geelong and Hobart.
These will be Matt's first Australian headline shows since his 2016 Telluric Tour. "I practise a lot and my tastes in music over the past four years have changed dramatically," Matt told us in a recent interview.
"The things I place value on in music that excite me are always changing, so ['Rainbow Valley'] is a reflection of that."
Matt is also amped to present the new material to local audiences. "It's going to be interesting getting the band across all this stuff.
"It's going to be funny playing a mixture of old and new songs, it'll be a very eclectic show. I'm excited to play this live, I'm just trying to figure out how to do it.
"We'll be well-refined and well-rehearsed; no second-rate, unsure performances."
