This winter, The National's Matt Berninger will make his Australian solo live debut.
The frontman-lyricist behind such hits as 'I Need My Girl', 'About Today' and 'The Alcott' will headline concerts in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne this May-June.
"Excited to share new dates in Brisbane and Melbourne as part of the special trio shows in Australia," Matt posted.
This run of shows will see Matt perform material from his latest solo album, 2025's 'Get Sunk', a record reflecting the constellation of people who shape us: parents, partners, siblings, old friends, strangers.
It features the cuts 'Bonnets Of Pins', 'Inland Ocean' and 'Breaking Into Acting (feat. Hand Habits)', and was written following Berninger's move from Los Angeles to Connecticut, the songs inspired by new landscapes, shifting seasons and a rediscovered joy in creating.
Fans should expect a set list spanning new music from 'Get Sunk' alongside selections from his 2020 solo debut 'Serpentine Prison' and carefully chosen moments from The National's beloved catalogue.
