A new music festival (from the team behind River Sessions Festival) focused on coming together and being in the moment will land in Mackay (Queensland) in late December.
To be headlined by Masked Wolf with a DJ set from The Jungle Giants, b.social will be the ideal spot to recover from an over-indulgence of ham and prawns while planning your New Year's Eve resolutions."G'day Mackay. Pull up a chair and then get up and dance while we DJ to ya this Dec 29th," shares The Jungle Giants. "It's gunna be the summer of turbo energy; no talkin' on the dance floor!"
Given the turbulent times we're all currently experiencing, b.social will also lean into the important message of spending less time on our phones when we're out and about experiencing life – it's about reconnecting with fam and friends while discovering new music buddies.
"b.social is about the push of social interaction which is something that the whole world has suffered from – something humans are not meant to endure," b.social Founder Michael Delaney says.
"Even though North Queensland is considered low risk we are working with key stakeholders to ensure that we greatly minimise the risk of COVID-19 while putting on a stella event for people to get out and enjoy live music with friends."
Alongside the usual festival flavours of food trucks, b.social will also welcome veterans Sneaky Sound System, as well as emerging electronic talent like Choomba & Latifa Tee, Tigerlily, Taleena, Jordan Burns and Silky Fuzz.
