It was one of the few festivals that got a chance to shine in 2020, and now Factory Summer Festival is back to give us a place to groove in a world still restricted by COVID.

The event expanded to the eastern states last year, and in 2021, Brisbane and Perth can expect the sizzle to return at two new locations, each with a focus on delivering a unique experience for fans. Perth will host three slamming days of back-to-back bangers in December at Stadium Park, while Brisbane gets a special one-off New Year’s Eve party at Eagle Farm Racecourse. . . Brisbane, you’ve got one shot. One opportunity. Make it count!

Epic surprises for artists and punters await, as Factory Summer Festival brings vibes and inspiration from some of the world’s leading cultural experiences to our backyards.

The festival’s format has changed considerably for 2021, but Event Co-Director Chris Bausor says this shift opens the doors for more opportunities for Factory Summer Festival.

“Shifting from the three-week-long celebration to the four individual shows, allows us to move to bigger sites, with plenty of room for activations, staging, themed bars, rides, zones and of course, space for those who enjoy a boogie,” Chris says.

“After adapting to operating COVID safe events last year, we have deliberately designed our site to allow three square metres per person to provide for social distancing.”

Aside from giving musicians a place to show off their skills and music-lovers a place to cut shapes with mates, Factory Summer Festival is also expected to create almost 3,000 jobs for artists, creatives, trades, technicians, hospitality workers and more.

Airwolf, BROODS, KLP, Masked Wolf, Young Franco, Electric Fields, Example and FlexMami are among those expected at both Perth and Brisbane events, while Perth will also exclusively see the likes of Hermitude, The Veronicas, Nina Las Vegas and Lime Cordiale.

Tickets are on sale 14 September.
