Marysville Music Weekend Cancels 2020 Festival But Will Return In 2021

Marysville Music Weekend (Victoria) will return in 2021 on 15-17 October.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

With the Pierce Brothers set to headline, organisers of Marysville Music Weekend have been forced to cancel this year's event due to the continuing COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria.

The three-day festival, staged in the picturesque Yarra Valley, was scheduled for 16-18 October.

Current ticket holders have the option to hold onto their tickets for 2021 or receive a full refund; each will be contacted individually.

Message from event organisers:

'It is with great sadness that the organisers of the Marysville Music Weekend have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's event.

'Despite optimism over the past few months that the situation would be stable enough to go ahead with the festival in some way, the recent flare-up of COVID-19 in Victoria and resulting uncertainty mean that staging a safe, quality event this October is impossible.

'The good news is that the Marysville Music Weekend will be back stronger than ever in 2021 with both headliners The Pierce Brothers and Geoff Achison's Guitar Showdown having signed on for next year's event.'

Marysville Music Weekend 2021 will take place 15-17 October, with more artist announces and tickets on sale early next year.
