An adored and cherished musical treasure, Australia's adopted soul-pop diva Marcia Hines is celebrating 50-plus years of performance with a massive tour in 2024.
Titled 'Still Shining', the 33-date tour (that will criss-cross the mainland, travelling to all major capital cities as well as a host of regional centres August through November) honours Hines' legacy that includes 22 albums and 2.6 million copies sold since she immigrated from Boston as a 16 year old to perform in the stage musical 'Hair' in the late '60s.Inducted into ARIA's Hall of Fame in 2007 and given the Order of Australia (AM) in 2009, a new generation of fans were introduced to Marcia as one of the 'Australian Idol' judges (during the original seven-year run in the 2000s); she has returned to the role in the 2024 season on Channel Seven.
2024 also sees Hines returning to the theatre stage in the role of Teen Angel in the new John Frost/ Crossroads production of 'Grease', this after her previous starring roles in 'Saturday Night Fever' and 'Shrek the Musical'.
