English singer-songwriter Maisie Peters returns to Australia this autumn for two intimate concerts, ahead of the release of her new album 'Florescence' in May.
The 'Worst Of You' and 'Favourite Ex' hitmaker will headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne the first week of March – her first shows down under since a sold-out run in 2024 – as part of a global Before The Bloom theatre run.
Co-produced with two-time Grammy Award winner Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves, Beyoncé, Chris Stapleton) and featuring duets with Julia Michaels and Marcus Mumford, 'Florescence' (to be released 15 May; pre-order it) is Peters' follow-up record to 2023's 'The Good Witch'.
It's been a whirlwind period for Maisie in recent times, having opened for Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Conan Gray, and Noah Kahan, headlining her own world tours.
By the end of 2024, the pace had become unsustainable, affecting Maisie physically and mentally, so she made the decision to step back – pressing pause on the pop-star carousel and returning home to reconnect with her life offstage.
That quieter chapter gave her space to reset, grounding her not just as a person, but as an artist. It was during this time that the emotional heart of 'Florescence' quietly took shape.
"This album to me is really a representation of the last few years of my life! It's about my journey into love, about what it felt like to find real solid roots, and grow into the woman I am now, after spending so much of my girlhood in constant motion.
"The first few songs you've heard feel like the first seedlings of autumn, and I like to think the next little chapter of music will feel like the first buds of spring, bold and bright and reaching towards the sun!
"I was 23 when I started this album, I'll be 25 when it comes out, and I just can't wait for this whole new era to blossom – it's such an honour getting to grow up with you all, and I hope this next era can accompany you throughout the next few seasons of your life."
Stay tuned for Maisie's new single, 'My Regards', which drops on 6 February. She has released three 'Florescence' album singles so far: 'You You You', 'Audrey Hepburn' and 'Say My Name In Your Sleep'.
Tickets on sale from 3pm (local time) on 3 February.
