Raise the horns 'cause two of the biggest names in the '90s heavy metal scene, Machine Head and Fear Factory, are headed to Australia in 2024.
The Slaughter The Martøur Tour will wreak mayhem in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney next March.Five years since they last touch down in Oz, Bay Area natives Machine Head released their 10th studio album, 'Of Kingdom And Crown', last year.
This run of shows will promote that record as well as igniting the mosh pit unleashing the classics from their extensive catalogue like 'Is There Anybody Out There?', 'Locust' and 'Davidian'.
"Aussie Head Cases! This tour will be insane," enthuses band founder Robb Flynn. "So stoked to be getting back on the road in Australia and New Zealand with this absolutely earth-shattering bill.
"Fear Factory have long been our brothers-in-arms, pioneers of a sound that had yet to exist. Oz, we're ready to crush skulls, crush shoeys, and crush everything in our path!"
LA's industrial metal masters, Fear Factory make this a metallic match made in heaven that's destined to be an onslaught of sonic intensity for moshers.
FF's most recent record was 2021's 'Aggression Continuum', which was their first studio album in six years. The group's catalogue includes such monsters as 'Linchpin', 'Replica', 'Edgecrusher' and 'Regenerate'.
"We are honoured to be touring with the mighty Machine Head metal, plus Robb has been a good friend of mine for close to 30 years," Fear Factory's Dino Cazares says.
"We are f...ing excited for the metal fans to see this amazing package and we can't wait to get out there. Let's f...ing rage!"
Tickets are on sale from 9am (local time) on 25 October.
