After visiting Australia in February for the first time in 12 years, American blues, folk, Americana musician M. Ward is bringing The Undertakers back for another tour at the start of summer.
A continuation of his run of world dates celebrating the 20th anniversary of his third solo album 'Transfiguration Of Vincent', this visit will land in the places that missed out at the start of 2023.Since the February dates, M. Ward has released his newest album 'Supernatural Thing' that features collaborations with First Aid Kit, Neko Case, and Shovels & Rope. These new dates will feature tracks from that release as well as his extensive back catalogue.
"If anyone saw those shows earlier this year you will know we couldn't stop this party," shares Love Police's BT.
"Matt allowed us to put together a local band for him, they were amazing, they bonded, they rocked, they rolled, they are even touring Europe together later this year."
Set to join the tour are Victorian band Folk Bitch Trio, who have already bonded with M. Ward. "Folk Bitch Trio also played some shows," continues BT, "and the combo all just worked so they're comin' too.
"WA, South Oz and Tassie are gonna get the vibes, as well as hitting Sydney and Melbourne for some encore performances. Good f...ing times."
