American indie folk, blues singer-songwriter, M. Ward returns to Australia next year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his third solo album 'Transfiguration Of Vincent'.
One half of She & Him with Zooey Deschanel and a member of indie supergroup Monsters of Folk, this will be Ward's first tour down under since 2011.With his new studio album 'Think Of Spring' available from 11 December, M. Ward will perform concerts in Sydney, Canberra, Queenscliff, Castlemaine, Melbourne, Brisbane and Eltham in northern NSW next February.
'Transfiguration Of Vincent' – which was inspired by John Fahey's 1965 album 'The Transfiguration Of Blind Joe Death' and a tribute to Ward's close friend Vincent O'Brien – is a delicious infusion of Americana, folk and blues, dripping with deft guitar picking and oozing luscious lyrics.
