Aside from being members of indie-rock outfit The Grates, Patience Hodgson and John Patterson are also the proud owners of Southside Tea Room, a coffee shop by day and bar by night.
Southside Tea Room will be launching it's first art showcase, L*O*V*E*H*A*T*E, on Friday February 8 for a week. The show shows a light-hearted perspective of love and hate around that sometimes dreaded day of year when like it or not, we are forced to shower adoration on that special someone.
This free exhibition features 14 of Brisbane's best emerging artists including Southside's own John Patterson, with a chance to meet the creatives on opening night.
Featured artists include Magic Sweater, Dord Burrough, Luke Kidd, Charly Design, Ellie Anderson, John Patterson, Raven Hodgson, Lucinda Wolber, Nick Drake, Brent Wilson, Gabriella Szableweska, Josh Rufford, Travis D Hendrix and Megan Starr-Thomas.
