It's the perfect hype storm!
Lorde and Disclosure — two of the hottest acts in the world right now (and for at least the last year, for that matter) — have teamed up for a spectacular live reworking of 'Royals' at the 2014 Brit Awards in London.
The collab was the highlight of a ceremony that also included performances by Arctic Monkeys, Rudimental, Beyoncé, Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, as well as Kate Moss impersonating David Bowie. So, you know, that's really saying something.
It's a particularly impressive feat because they only had a "few hours" of rehearsal to make it come together. Disclosure's Howard Lawrence told Daily Star Playlist: It's been tough getting things ready as we've been on the road. So we've been constantly on the phone with Lorde, organising stuff. It was somebody else's idea to hook up so we haven't even met her yet."
Lorde ended up winning the Brit Award for Best International Female Solo Artist, but sadly, Disclosure went home empty-handed, inexplicably losing out on the British Breakthrough Act, British Group, British Single and British Album awards.
