Although the outlook for travel within Australia continues to improve, the continuing uncertainty around the current NZ outbreak (and the unknown implementation dates of their new traffic light system) has forced the postponement of Lorde's 2022 tour.
Slated for March, the tour will now proceed 12 months later with extra shows announced in Brisbane and Perth. "I am beyond devastated to be postponing these shows," Lorde says."Starting the tour in New Zealand was always really important to me, and would have been a huge high.
"I fought this decision for a long time, but the truth is that touring internationally through a COVID outbreak has a tonne of unforeseen moving parts, and I'd much rather play for you when we're all confident it will go smoothly.
"I want to apologise wholeheartedly to the fans. I'm so gutted to let you down, but so grateful for your understanding. We'll rage next year."
Ticket holders for all shows need take no action – all tickets remain valid for new dates. Tickets for existing shows go on sale from 10am (local time) 11 November. Tickets for the new shows go on sale from 11am (local time) 19 November. More information.
