After the success of the inaugural Live At The Bowl season during last summer, Arts Centre Melbourne will once again install a massive programme of live music at Sidney Myer Music Bowl throughout the first part of 2022.
A mix of classical and contemporary music, plus circus, dance and comedy not to forget a number of family and community-led events, Live At The Bowl offers entertainment for everyone in your crew (5 January through to 25 April).Massive names like London Grammar, Flight Facilities, Benee and Kings Of Leon will grace the Live At The Bowl stage, as will local heroes The Teskey Brothers (with Orchestra Victoria), The Jungle Giants, Hoodoo Gurus, and Lime Cordiale.
Electronic heads will also have plenty to dance to, with Piknic Électronik (Boris Brejcha, Thomas Schumacher & Peggy Gou), Synthony No.2 and Ultra Australia 2022 landing at Live At The Bowl.
Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will also host a series of free concerts including celebrating Archie Roach's incredible back catalogue.
Circa's family adventure Shaun the Sheep's Circus Show will kick off Live At The Bowl's 2022 programme, with a five-date run that also doubles as the first time they've presented this production in an outdoor setting.
In line with the Department of Health and current government advice, events will allow up to 12,000 visitors making decks a thing of the past as the Bowl operates at 100 per cent capacity.
"We are thrilled to present the second season of Live At The Bowl," Arts Centre Melbourne Executive Director, Performing Arts Melanie Smith says.
"With just under 100,000 people attending the first season and over 1,300 artists and performers on stage, it would be remiss of us not to bring it back.
"We are confident that our audiences will return to our venue feeling safe and comfortable, particularly after the recent success of Play On Victoria."
