Gain real life skills, network with industry experts and start building your profile in the local music scene at The Edge (State Library Of Queensland) with a variety of sessions and workshops that provide a unique oppportunity for young artists and aspiring industry professionals to gain practical skills and experience.
Little BIGSOUND is produced by the team behind BIGSOUND and Industry Connect and brings together local booking agents, record labels, artists, venue operators, producers and digital marketing experts to help attendees get started with their first gig, publicise their music and improve their songwriting and production techniques.
This year's Mini Keynote speak is Marie DeVita, the frontwoman of Brisbane band WAAX who will share her story and touch on her personal, professional and creative experiences at the helm of one of the most thrilling bands to come out of Brisbane.
Work with the latest in music production technology in The Ableton Live Studio, learn what goes into crafting a hit song with producer/songwriter Alexander Henriksson and find out how to get paid for their music with APRA/AMCOS.

There will also the the chance to engage with local booking agents, publicists and managers in intimate group Round Table Sessions, and sharpen their business acumen in sessions about copyright, starting a music business and digital marketing strategies
Presented by Qmusic and Brisbane City Council, Little BIGSOUND is also offering two emerging artists’ the chance to perform at the Artist Showcase during the day for attending members of the local music industry, as well as their peers. Last year saw rising stars, Asha Jefferies and Ruby Gilbert showcase, who went on to play BIGSOUND in 2018.
