Due to arrive in Australia later this month for a number of performances at Woodford Folk Festival before sticking around for WOMADelaide in early March, Irish folk musician, singer-songwriter Lisa O'Neill has added a number of standalone shows in-between.
O'Neill's adaptation of Dylan's 'All The Tired Horses' soundtrack the final scene of 'Peaky Blinders', while the 'Blackbird' artist has accrued five BBC Folk Award nominations; her most recent album was 'All Of This Is Chance' – that was released February this year.The musician was hailed by The Edge as "a unique voice in Irish songwriting," while Iggy Pop shared "beautiful, what a strong, beautiful voice". 'Peaky Blinders' star Cillian Murphy is also a fan: "She's an extraordinary singer songwriter."
A musician who touches the soul with her voice as well as guitar and banjo playing, Lisa will be joined by fellow Irish musician Brian Leach playing hammer dulcimer – an instrument with such a beauty of sound.
