For the first time since 2013, Linkin Park will tour Australia.
With original members Mike Shinoda, Dave 'Phoenix' Farrell and Joe Hahn, alongside newest additions vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, Linkin Park will headline concerts in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney next March. "Australia - see you on our From Zero world tour."
That reality seemed like a distant occurrence at best, if not outright illogical given the untimely death of singer Chester Bennington in 2017. Then last year a new song 'Friendly Fire' was released featuring the vocals of Bennington recorded before his death.
A greatest hits album followed, then Dead Sara vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain were introduced as new members Linkin Park via a livestream in September heralding a world tour, before the group's eighth studio album 'From Zero' (#1 in Australia) was released in November.
"Getting back out on the road has been incredible," Shinoda says. "The fans' support is overwhelming, and we're ready to bring this energy to Australia. 'From Zero' is a new chapter for us, and we're so excited to share it with everyone on a bigger scale."
Although it's been a decade-plus since Linkin Park last toured Australia, local fans have the opportunity to witness the band's raw, high-octane performances, celebrating the new songs, like 'The Emptiness Machine' and 'Heavy Is The Crown', as well as all the hits that has seen the group amass 50M monthly Spotify listeners, and remain as relevant as they were in the mid 2000s.
