Lime Cordiale

Australian indie legends Lime Cordiale are combining their two loves – live music and the environment – with their newest forward-thinking project they hope will be the 'greenest' music event in Australia.

Passionate about how music festivals can deliver music, culture and connection while also integrating climate action initiatives, Oli and Louis Leimbach have teamed with Chugg Music to present Lime Green Festival in Adelaide this April.

Designed to be a 100 per cent off-grid event, and set to feature the talents of The Dreggs, aleksiah and PASH alongside a headline performance from Lime Cordiale, Lime Green Festival is a community-driven, one-day platform that invites audiences to engage, learn and imagine new possibilities for how live events can operate in a more regenerative way.

"From the accelerating loss of polar ice to the devastating algal blooms currently choking the South Australian coast, it is impossible to ignore that our climate is at a breaking point," declare Oli and Louis.

"For the last five years, we've wrestled with a deep, personal dilemma as environmentalists: Is our touring contributing to the problem? Does it still make sense in a world that's hurting? Should we continue to tour at all?

"We've decided that the answer isn't to stop, but to change. Live music is about the vital connection between people, and we believe that connection is exactly what we need to fuel a new way of doing things.

"Our aim is to stage the greenest music festival Australia has ever seen—rethinking everything from renewable stage power and transport to how we handle food and human waste."

Alongside the live performances, Lime Green Festival will also offer inspiring talks, interactive workshops and activations that spotlight community and business leaders and innovators from the growing regenerative movement.

"ADELAIDE!!! So excited to be playing in my hometown with Lime Cordiale for Lime Green Fest," posted aleksiah.

"A festival for climate change that's completely battery powered 💚 alongside the lovely The Dreggs and superstars PASH, so it's gonna be a very fun time; 💗 all for an amazing cause, so I hope to see you there, love you!!! xoxo."

Lime Green Festival takes place at Point Malcom Reserve (Adelaide) on 18 April.
