Less Than Jake Australia 2024 Tour

Less Than Jake
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

American ska punks Less Than Jake are headed back to Australia to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their seminal release, 'Hello Rockview'.

The Floridian natives will headline concerts in Melbourne, Fremantle, Wollongong, Sydney and Newcastle in late October.

Featured in NME's 20 Pop Punk Albums Which Will Make You Nostalgic listicle, 'Hello Rockview' includes the mega hit 'All My Best Friends Are Metalheads' (which is nearing 60M Spotify streams) and 'History Of A Boring Town'. Other notable album cuts include 'Last One Out Of Liberty City', 'Nervous In The Alley' and 'Help Save The Youth Of America From Exploding'.

It's been seven years since the American ska maestros last toured Australia. In their own words, the band consider Australia: "One of our favourite places in the world. It is paradise with koala bears and flat whites."

Still featuring founding guitarist-vocalist Chris DeMakes and OG members bassist-vocalist Roger Lima and trombonist Buddy 'Goldfinger' Schaub, and now into their fourth decade of existence, Less Than Jake will perform 'Hello Rockview' in full plus a second set of their hits including 'The Science Of Selling Yourself Short', 'Look What Happened', 'The Rest Of My Life' and 'Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts' as well as their brand-new banger, 'Broken Words'.

"AUSTRALIA! We couldn't be more excited to return 'down under' and play 'Hello Rockview' in its entirety. . . plus a special selection of handpicked favourites."

Joining Less Than Jake at all shows will be Melbourne's psychedelic-reggae-doom metallers The Bennies and Adelaide punk veterans Young Offenders. "Surprise! We're hitting the road with punk rock legends Less Than Jake and our best buds The Bennies," says Young Offenders.

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 26 June.
