Australian indie favourites, Last Dinosaurs are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their sophomore album 'Wellness' with a national tour.
The band responsible for such pop-rock gems like 'Zoom', 'Italo Disco' and 'Eleven' will headline concerts in Torquay, Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane this June.
"AUSTRALIA! We didn't forget you. We're coming back home for a Wellness tour this winter and we're bringing USA brothers Bad Suns with us!"
A resume that includes supporting the likes of Florence + the Machine, Foals, Foster The People, and Vacations, the 'Wellness' project was a pivotal moment for the group originally from Brisbane.
"Ten years ago, Lach, Sloane, Dan, and I released our sophomore album 'Wellness'," guitarist-singer Sean Caskey says.
"It was the second chance for four boys from Brisbane State High to make another leap in the music world.
"I used to look back on this album as a bit of a failure, as there was so much pressure to follow up [2012 debut] 'In A Million Years', but now I see it as the catalyst for the way we make music today.
"It forced us to completely change our approach to recording music by doing it all ourselves. This was after we dropped the demos on YouTube; the reaction to those lo-fi recordings was a massive surprise to us.
"That really inspired us to have more confidence in our own abilities and was the driving force behind [2018's] 'Yumeno Garden' [album]. We're so thankful to our fans, because it's your positive energy that motivates us to keep pushing ourselves in the direction we need to go."
Part of the 'Wellness' celebrations includes the band releasing a special reworking of the album on vinyl and CD, titled 'Wellnxss', on 13 February (pre-order it); an opportunity for fans to reconnect with this material through a new lens.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 30 January.
