American country artist, Larry Fleet is returning to Australia joining the line-up at 2026 Gympie Music Muster in August.
The 'Where I Find God' and 'Things I Take For Granted' singer-songwriter from Tennessee will headline the Friday edition of the festival, bringing his country storytelling to Queensland's much-loved festival in the forest.
He'll appear alongside the likes of Beccy Cole, James Johnston, Lee Kernaghan, The Wolfe Brothers, Graeme Connors, James Blundell, Amber Lawrence, Brooke McClymont & Adam Eckersley, Lane Pittman, Sara Berki, Taylor Moss and Canadian band PETRIC.
Gympie Music Muster Program Director Bec Anderson says Larry was a natural fit for the Muster.
"We are so thrilled to be adding Larry to our 2026 line-up. He's such a down-to-earth storyteller that just draws people in. Larry feels so right for the Muster and we know our crowd is going to love him."
As well as being an artist in his own right, Larry co-wrote 'Man Made A Bar' recorded by Morgan Wallen featuring Eric Church. This will be Larry's second visit to Australia, having played CMC Rocks in 2025.
"On my first trip to Australia last year, I honestly didn't know what to expect or how everyone would react to my music," Fleets admits, "but before I was even off the stage I was already planning on coming back as soon as I could.
"The Australian people made me feel at home with how engaged and a part of the show they were. Singing every lyric, it's almost like they did their homework to not only make sure that they had a good time, but that we did as well; and if there's one thing I learned, it's that Australians know how to have a damn good time."
Although he'll be travelling thousands of miles from his home, Larry can't wait to undertake the voyage down under and soak up the festival feels at the Muster.
"I never thought I'd be excited about travelling thousands of miles away from home, but August can't get here soon enough," he says.
"I don't know much about the Muster, but plan to learn and experience as much as I can as soon as I get there. I'm honoured to share the stage with so many other talented musicians, so I assure you the band and I aren't travelling all that way to bring anything less than our best show.
"No doubt the Muster Mates will be ready for a whole lot of country music, storytelling and a night we'll be telling our grandkids about one day."
Celebrating Larry's addition to the line-up, the Gympie Muster are offering early access to limited Friday festival day passes, available now until 7 April. All other single day tickets for the 2026 Gympie Music Muster go on sale from 2 June, with more artist announcements still to come.
"Larry Fleet joining the Gympie Music Muster is a great example of the international talent we can attract to the region to strengthen the appeal of our major events," Minister for the Environment and Tourism Andrew Powell says.
"It adds an even stronger drawcard to an event that already holds a special place for country music fans, with the festival anticipated to generate more than $15.7 million for the state's economy."
Tickets on sale (four-day passes and Friday passes).
2026 Gympie Music Muster takes place at Amamoor Creek State Forest (Gympie Region) 27-30 August.
