Five acts from the upcoming 2018 Laneway Festival have announced two sideshows each.

Josh Tillman’s third album 'Pure Comedy' under pseudonym Father John Misty peaked at #14 on the ARIA charts and has received universal acclaim. Recently he collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé on her track 'Hold Up' from 'Lemonade' and two tracks from Lady Gaga’s 'Joanne', both contributions that furthered his already strong fanbase.

Loyle Carner’s debut album 'Yesterday’s Gone' has been described as “an intersection between the boom-bap of East Coast hip-hop, jazz-inflected portraits of South London and soulful laidback pop”. The album earned the 22-year-old critical praise and consistent successful touring all over the world.

Canadian Mac DeMarco has released an LP or EP each year for the past six years, most recently 'This Old Dog', which is “widely regarded as an engaging step forward for an artist in his prime”. The songwriter has performed at Laneway Festival previously and has confirmed Kirin J Callinan as a special guest for his sideshows.

Slowdive haven’t released new material since 1995’s 'Pygmalion', but 22 years later they released their self-titled fourth album, described as a “stunning comeback record, on par with their best work”. 2018 will see Slowdive’s first Australian appearance.

The Internet’s performances will include both solo releases and band material, including tracks from their Grammy-nominated album 'Ego Death'. After two sold-out Australian tours, The Internet performances will feature special guest Kaiit when they take the stage.
