Ladyhawke continues to make 2021 her comeback year, with the 'My Delirium' artist releasing another single ('Mixed Emotions') today from her forthcoming fourth studio album 'Time Flies' (her first since 2016's 'Wild Things').
A bright, sparkly dose of electro-flecked indie pop, Ladyhawke aka Pip Brown penned 'Mixed Emotions' with Jono Sloan and Nick Littlemore (PNAU, Empire Of The Sun), and follows her earlier 2021 single, the indie rock-soaked 'Guilty Love' – a collaboration with fellow Kiwis BROODS."'Mixed Emotions' was written with old mates Jono Sloan and Nick Littlemore while I was on a writing trip in LA," Pip says. "Sloan had come up with a really cool bass groove which Nick and I riffed over to get the lyrics and melody.
"The song is about all the things you can feel with one person, sometimes all in a single day. Ups and downs, confusion, highs, and lows. And everything in between."
With the NZ-Australia travel bubble making trips across the Tasman feasible again, Ladyhawke has doubled the happiness feels for her fans with news she'll embark on a four-date east-coast tour (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne) this spring.
"It seems unreal to be announcing a tour after the last year we've all had, but since the travel bubble has been announced I'm able to now tour Australia!
"This is honestly something I couldn't see happening for ages, so here it is! I'm doing some shows! I hope to see you all soon!"
