How do you plan on celebrating your 45th birthday? Because Kylie Minogue has celebrated hers by releasing her first track on Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.
The racey 'Skirt' is co-written by The-Dream (who also co-wrote Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies', Rihanna's 'Umbrella', Justin Bieber's 'Baby' — all the pop music, essentially) and produced, appropriately enough, by Nom De Strip.
It's set to appear on Kylie's next album, due out some time this year. The album will also feature collaborations with fellow Aussie Sia, erstwhile Lady Gaga producers Red One and Fernando Garibay, and, of course, Pharrell Williams.
Nom De Strip is clearly stoked with the attention the track has received:
almost 1/3 of my 3 years worth of soundcloud plays have come in the last 10 hours haha #Skirt
