Kristy Lee Peters — aka KLP — is working as a facilitator for Heaps Decent, a music initiative for underprivileged kids.
The up-and-coming DJ and vocalist will be hosting a fundraiser at GoodGod on May 9 and will be joined by fellow Heaps Decent collaborators Charlie Chux, Stu Turner and rising act Moonbase Commander.
The show will also act as a launch pad for KLP's debut EP 'Revolution', and will be her first outing as a 'proper' artist. The record is being released under new indie label Chookie, Sydney-born and fronted by super producer Dcup, who also collaborated with KLP on the new single 'Caramel'.
KLP has previously collaborated with other big names such as Pnau and Tonight Only and has either featured on or co-written no less than 20 tracks scheduled for release this year. In her ongoing role with Heaps Decent, she has also worked with the likes of Chairlift, Lykke Li and 12th Planet.
All proceeds from the GoodGod show will be donated to Heaps Decent.
