Aussie rockers Kingswood have paid tribute to one of the kings of heartland rock with their newest single.
With their music doco tour for 'Claptrap' to wrap up tomorrow, the band return to the road, commencing at the end of April, for another extensive regional tour to promote their cover of Tom Petty classic 'You Wreck Me'."It's love, chaos, and obsession colliding at full speed," shares Kingswood. "The feeling of being completely wrecked by someone, it's something we've all lived through.
"Surrendering to a force greater than you're able to control. The reckless pursuit of something you can't quite hold onto. When we play it, we're tapping into that raw, untamed emotion – like going into a boxing ring."
From roaring festival stages to stripped-back honky-tonk sets, Kingswood continue to push boundaries, bridging the spirit of Springsteen, Petty, and Alan Jackson with their own distinctive edge.
Kingswood's upcoming 32-date tour will kick off in Geelong and Castlemaine before heading through South Australia, New South Wales, Northern Territory, and Western Australia before returning to Victoria for a hometown show in Melbourne then concluding with festival dates at Gympie Music Muster and Savannah In The Round.
