Kingswood 2018 Australia Tour

Kingswood have announced a national tour this August-September.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Melbourne rockers Kingswood will emerge from months of studio time working on their next LP for a national tour this winter, which will be your ONLY chance to see them live in 2018 (aside from Sunday's State Of Origin II at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

In our March 2018 interview with Kingswood's singer Fergus Linacre, he talked about the group's flexibility to traverse different genres with their future records.

“People don’t expect a specific sound from us at all [any more]... People will expect that it’s going to be different again and it gives us free range to experiment with different sounds, which we’re doing.”

As for what fans can expect from the next Kingswood album, Fergus says: "At the moment, if I was going to sum up the genre that we’re kind of listening for and the direction that we mostly might be heading down, it’s Michael Jackson.

“We’re listening to Michael Jackson, and hopefully we’re going to see Bruno Mars on the weekend. I think there’s maybe more of that kind of work - dance-y, maybe a little bit more electronic.”

For the upcoming tour – which will visit Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney and Melbourne - Adelaide's indie pop singer MANE will join Kingswood at all shows.
