Kings Of Convenience 2024 Australia Tour

Kings Of Convenience tour Australia February 2024.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

More than a decade since they last ventured to Australia, Scandinavian folk-pop group Kings Of Convenience return in 2024.

The duo of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth (as part of Perth Festival) next February.

An act who have drawn comparisons to Simon & Garfunkel and Belle & Sebastian, the Bergen, Norway, natives have released four studio albums since they first emerged in 1999.

2021's 'Peace Or Love' record was their first LP release in 12 years, featuring the hits 'Catholic Country', 'Rocky Trail' and 'Fever'.

Local fans can expect to be entranced by the enchanting melodies and harmonies of Kings Of Convenience, whose back catalogue includes such indie burners as 'Misread', 'I'd Rather Dance With You', 'Homesick', 'Mrs. Cold', 'Know How', 'Boat Behind' and 'Rule My World'.

"Our world tour never ends, but we get further and further away from home. Please welcome us with love and flat white coffee when we venture to beautiful Australia, 11 years after our previous visit," shares the group.

"We will be bringing our Mexican backing band, so the end of each show will be extra danceable."

Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 3 November.
