Kimya Dawson Cancels Australian Tour

Kimya Dawson
National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

Lo-fi indie idol Kimya Dawson, who was to return to Australia for the first time in five years for the Bigsound Conference and to play her own, headline tour, has cancelled the tour due to “family health matters”.

Unfortunately due to family health matters outside of anyone’s control Kimya Dawson has to cancel the impending tour dates in Australia and New Zealand. Although another tour will be rescheduled in the future once return dates are possible, in the meantime please see the relevant venues and events for ticket refunds and/ or replacement arrangements for the various September shows.

Sincere apologies for any inconvenience and please stay tuned for news regarding future possibilities.
Kimya will also no longer be able to appear as a keynote speaker on the 2016 Bigsound music conference in Brisbane.

In the meantime here is Kimya's latest tune in response to Black Lives Matter, 'At The Seams'.
