Kendrick Lamar and Tame Impala will rework Tame's 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards' for the 'Divergent' soundtrack.
Up until now, my interest in the young-adult film 'Divergent' lay somewhere in between 'Nope, never heard of it' and 'Oh, no, wait a sec, I think I've heard of that one — it's the poor man's 'Hunger Games', yeah?' But that's all changed with the announcement of the film's soundtrack.
The film's photogenic teens/30-year-olds-pretending-to-be-teens will be fighting the power in a dystopian future Chicago to the sound of these tunes:
Zedd — 'Find You' [feat. Matthew Koma & Miriam Bryant]
Ellie Goulding — 'Beating Heart'
Pia Mia — 'Fight For You' [feat. Chance The Rapper]
Ellie Goulding — 'Hanging On' [I See MONSTAS remix]
Snow Patrol — 'I Won't Let You Go'
Woodkid — 'Run Boy Run'
Tame Impala & Kendrick Lamar — 'Backwards'
M83 — 'I Need You'
A$AP Rocky — 'In Distress' [feat. Gesaffelstein]
Pretty Lights — 'Lost And Found' [ODESZA remix]
Skrillex — 'Stranger' [feat. KillaGraham From Milo & Otis & Sam Dew]
Big Deal — 'Dream Machines'
Ellie Goulding — 'Dead In The Water'
With deluxe exclusives:
Woodkid — 'I Love You'
BANKS — 'Waiting Game'
Ellie Goulding — 'My Blood'
The soundtrack's out on March 11; the film itself won't be released in Australia until April 10.
