Rapper and hip hop icon Kendrick Lamar will make a stopover in Australia for his ‘Grand National’ tour at the end of the year.
The ‘Grand National’ tour will hit stadiums in Melbourne and Sydney, in celebration of his album ‘GNX’. The album got to #1 on the ARIA Charts here in Australia – his third to hit the top spot here after ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ and ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’.
In 2017, Kendrick made history as the first person of colour, the first non-Australian artist, and the first hip hop artist since 2012 to top the countdown.
The last time Kendrick was in Australia was for ‘The Big Steppers’ world tour. He played a bunch of arenas but will this time kick things up a notch in stadiums.
Kendrick’s visit to Australia follows sold-out shows across North America, and his upcoming European and UK dates with SZA.
Tickets on sale 16 June.
