One of the icons of Brisbane's live music scene, The Tivoli Theatre is pressing on by turning their decadent foyer space in Fortitude Valley into a shop and cafe as they look 'to keep the dream alive during these pretty messed-up times'.
Open daily and with onsite parking, The Tiv Shop & Cafe is offering the local community a bohemian's bounty of goodies that includes selling off their excess alcohol stock (we're talking the finest craft beers including the full range of Green Beacon Brewery, boutique bottles of wine by Bacchus Wine Merchant and a slew of your favourite spirits). The Tiv will also be partnering with other local businesses along the way to 'share the love where they can, until they can reopen the doors for gigs again'.
If you love cheese, then you'll want to sample the wares of The Cheeseboard team from Stafford, who are in the midst of creating a new range just for The Tivoli in collaboration with a number of local, visual artists.
West End's Jet Black Cat Music will also be selling a selection of their new release records and old favourites from The Tivoli's gig history.
While you peruse the wares on offer, don't forget the Fonzie Abbott barista-made coffee, organic teas by Love Tea and other warm bevvies available in the cafe.
If you're not able to leave home, The Tiv have created their own online store to browse their products and they offer both pick-up and delivery services.
