Almost 20 years since her last tour down under, British singer-songwriter Katie Melua returns to Australia in 2024.
The blues-folk-pop artist, responsible for such hits as 'Wonderful Life', 'Nine Million Bicycles', and 'The Closest Thing To Crazy', will headline concerts in Sydney and Melbourne alongside three shows at Bluesfest (revealed last week)."The last time I toured Oz was in 2005, so I'm super excited to return after so many years," shares Katie.
A resume that includes 11 million-plus album sales and 56 platinum awards, Katie was the top album-selling female artist in the UK and Europe between 2003-2012 including two #1 UK albums.
All up, Katie has released eight top 10 studio albums; her most recent studio album was 2023's 'Love & Money' that features the songs 'Golden Record' and 'Quiet Moves'.
"Australians have waited 19 long years to hear Katie Melua's stunning voice live in concert, and we are pleased to announce that the wait is almost over," Bluesfest's Peter Noble says.
"Katie is one of Britain and Europe's highest-selling female recording artists of all time; you only need to listen to one of eight studio albums to understand why. She is incredibly talented.
