Kate Miller-Heidke Headlines Another Batch Of 2019 Brisbane Festival Performers

Kate Miller-Heidke has been added to 2019 Brisbane Festival line-up.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Brisbane Festival (6-28 September) have added Emma Louise, Justin Townes Earle and Bruno Major to their 2019 line-up, following the announcement earlier this week of Eurovision star Kate Miller-Heidke's inclusion.

Exploding across the city this September, Brisbane Festival 2019 will be as big as ever, hosting a tonne of big-name artists with even more to be announced.

Fresh off the back of a heartfelt performance representing Australia in Eurovision last month, Kate Miller-Heidke will be performing brand-new versions of her most-beloved material, including hits such as ‘The Last Day On Earth’, 'Caught In The Crowd' and ‘O Vertigo!'.

With one hundred million streams and two Top-20 ARIA albums, Emma Louise will be performing as part of the acclaimed 'Tivoli In The Round', a chance to get-up close and personal and experience an intimate performance in the unique round setting.

The multi-platinum, indie-pop songstress will be treating fans to live performances of tracks from her latest and “favourite album to date”, 2018's 'Lilac Everything' as a part of her 'Wish You Well' national tour.

Nashville songwriter, and son of country legend Steve Earle, Justin Townes Earle will bring his far-ranging and self-reflective tunes to the old-time surrounds of The Courier Mail Spiegeltent.

His introspective latest album, 'The Saint Of Lost Causes', is a dark and moody glimpse into Americana. “I was trying to look through the eyes of America, because I believe in the idea of America — that everybody's welcome here and has a right to be here." This will be JTE's Brisbane Festival debut and his first performance in Australia since 2017.

On his first tour of Australia, English R&B artist Bruno Major will be filling Brisbane Festival with his smooth, soulful music off the back of a brilliant 2018 with over 250 million streams, multiple sold-out North American tours and a UK arena tour with Sam Smith.
