With their European-UK tour set to commence next week, Karnivool have unveiled their biggest Australian headline tour to date.
The shows in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this July will see the 'Themeta' hitmakers play their biggest venues down under yet; and they're bringing two international bands to open each show.
"Australia – see you this July for our biggest headline tour to date, joined by international guests TesseracT and Car Bomb."
It's already been a massive year for the Perth natives, who released their first studio album in 13 years, dropping 'In Verses' in February; the record peaking at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
"We can't believe it. After 13 years of waiting it's bloody lovely not to be forgotten, and at such a wild time for music to get a #1 record is pretty amazing," shared the band.
"Karnivool as a band has never followed a conventional path, god knows we aren't even on TikTok, and this album is on our own label through our friends at Sony.
"So we will raise a glass to our fans, families, Forrester and our friends who worked on the record, and anyone who walks their own path. See you at a show."
'In Verses' is a heavy prog masterpiece that quickly had fans forgiving the band for their decade-plus wait since their previous studio album, 2013's 'Asymmetry'.
Karnivool's next challenge: learning how to deliver live the songs they've spent the better part of a decade wrangling into existence.
Joining Karnivool are fellow masters of their craft TesseracT. The UK metal titans are widely regarded as pioneers, expanding metal's vocabulary beyond all measure with off-kilter riffs, soaring melodies, bending grooves and disorientating atmospherics.
While New York innovators Car Bomb bring their elite chops and maniacal arrangements to Australia for the very first time.
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 16 April.
