Self-appointed deity Kanye West and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel look set to end the strangest hip hop feud in recent memory.

Kanye and Jimmy kicked off an awfully one-sided Twitter feud a few weeks ago after Jimmy took a gentle stab at Kanye's controversial BBC interview with Zane Lowe, recreating some of the interview's most entertaining moments ("WHERE THE CULTURE AT?") with children in the place of West and Lowe.

Shockingly, Kanye couldn't laugh at himself, and he retaliated immediately, tweeting that Kimmel was "out of line to try and spoof in any way the first piece of honest media in years", that his "face looks crazy", and that Kimmel's ex Sarah Silverman is "a thousand times funnier" than him. (Kimmel didn't take the bait, remaining as droll as ever in his replies to West.)

Now Kimmel has tweeted that West will be a guest on his show: "TOMORROW NIGHT, MY GUEST WILL BE KANYE WEST (for real, yes and was it all a setup, no)"

Kimmel later added that the two men will talk until their differences are solved, or until he gets "strangled by leather jogging pants." Stay tuned...

UPDATE: It's official, Kanye and Kimmel have buried the hatchet. Of course, Kanye never actually apologised to Jimmy, but he did appear on his show for a spectacularly long interview and didn't freak out when Jimmy told him what we're all thinking: "I don't know if you know this, but a lot of people think you're a jerk."

Oh, and Kanye said "I'm a creative genius and there's no other way to word it". Because of course he did.
