A massive 29 acts feature on the first line-up for Jungle Love Festival, returning this year after taking a break in summer 2019.
Now being held in autumn over the May long weekend (1-3 May), the sixth Jungle Love Festival boasts a massive first round of artists led by Nai Palm (Hiatus Kaiyote) and Genesis Owusu.
Joining them are folk-rock powerhouse Cash Savage & The Last Drinks as well as revered guitarist Plini and the soulful stylings of Melbourne’s Izy. Jungle Love Festival have increased their focus on live electronic music in 2020, with a dedicated electronic stage featuring some of Australia’s finest producers including Doppel, Cheshire, SKRAM and Avaxa.
Organisers have also added a new queer space called ‘The Closet’ dedicated to LGBTQI+ programming, along with a raft of other surprises dotted around the festival site.
“The space will feature a range of talks and performances that explore the depth and intricacies of queer culture and sub-culture, acting as a safe space for the queer community to connect. We believe this is the first time a queer space has been held in a non-queer festival in Queensland.” Jungle Love Festival Director Elliott Hunt says.
The fully BYO event will feature a selection of vendors selling only sustainable meat-based products along with vegan and vegetarian options.
Jungle Love Festival is on at a secret location in Amamoor (Mary Valley Region) 1-3 May. Click here for tickets and more information.
