Jungle Love Festival 2018 Line-up

UK neo-soul singer China Bowls has been added to the 2018 Jungle Love Festival line-up.
National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

Back for a fifth year, Jungle Love Festival returns to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland (29 November-1 December) with a grander site and three-day programme that is headlined by Melbourne-based, New Zealand electronic wizard Opiuo and Western Australia pysch rockers Pond.

The international guests in 2018 also include dub, reggae OG Mad Professor (active for almost 40 years), the loop pedal ninja Kenta Hayashi and Bristol-based neo-soul singer and cape enthusiast China Bowls (making her Australian debut).

Melbourne rockers Approachable Members Of Your Local Community and fellow Melburnians Mildlife with their jazz, psych and disco grooves plus Sydney's female punk force Rackett lead the interstate travellers.

The locals are well represented too with more than half the programme native to Queensland including Baskervillain, First Beige, Golden Sound, Omegachild, The Brains Trust, Gabriella Cohen, Nonsemble, L. Flora and FeelsClub. Go Queenslander!

There will also be a special performance by a group of local musicians paying homage to French electronic gods Justice with Jungle Love Allstars: Live Tribute to Justice.

With members from Big Dead, LeSuits, beneb, Inigo, HRBRT, Andy Ward as well as the string quartet Nonsemble, the 12-piece group will cover the entire back catalogue of Justice.

"It's going to be truly epic and will feature tracks from all three of the French duo's albums: 'Cross', 'Audio, Video, Disco' and 'Woman'," Festival Co-Director Raymond Williams says.

And it's not just music that is the focus of the Jungle Love experience. Revellers can take it back a notch and partake in sunrise yoga, water aerobics and a diverse range of workshops as well as marvel at live visual art activations or enjoy a lazy beer floating down the creek.

Add holistic pastimes and progressive food and beverage options, Jungle Love Festival is the perfect escape from the pressures of day-to-day life.

Jungle Love Festival takes place Thursday 29 November to Saturday 1 December at a secret location in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Click here for more information about tickets.
