With the release of their fourth studio album 'Volcano' only days away (11 August), UK neo soul, electronic, dance-funk band Jungle will return to Australia in 2024.
The Mercury Prize-nominated band, featuring core members Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland alongside their extended live band, will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in May."Nine years since our first album and just under a month till our new album," the band posted last month, "we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has bought our records or come to a show and supported us over the years.
"Massive love to the team past and present who have all played their part. We couldn't do it without you."
So far, Jungle have released four singles from 'Volcano': 'Back On 74', 'I've Been In Love (feat. Channel Tres)', 'Dominoes' and 'Candle Flame (feat. Erick The Architect)'.
"The fourth and final single from 'Volcano' 'Back On 74' is out now," shares Jungle. "Shout out Lydia Kitto who wrote and recorded this one with us. The video drop, powered by WeTransfer, incorporates a first-of-its-kind interactive element.
"It works like an interactive art gallery, where you'll be able to download works of art as you watch. Not only that, 100 free tour tickets have been hidden with random artworks so when an artwork is claimed, it is pulled from the canvas in real time, revealing a blank canvas in its place and you'll find out if you've won free tickets with your artwork download.
"Every viewing of the video is populated with 6 different art pieces, pulled from a bank of 10,000 unique works created by J Lloyd. Every single view is adapted to be unique."
Jungle will also release a full-length film, 'Volcano, The Motion Picture' that will premiere exclusively on the Jungle fanclub from 11 August.
Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 11 August.
