Currently on tour in the US, and with her new album 'Pre Pleasure' landing on Friday, indie pop, alt. country singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin will headline three east-coast shows in February.
The 'Pressure To Party' singer has already released three singles from 'Pre Pleasure' ('Lydia Wears A Cross', 'I Was Neon' and 'Love, Try Not To Let Go') and follows up today with newest album track 'Be Careful With Yourself'.Julia described 'Lydia Wears A Cross as "about a lot of things but mainly being a seven-year-old Jesus Christ Superstar fanatic attending Catholic school trying to figure out which way is up".
The recording of 'Pre Pleasure' occurred in Montreal late last year when Jacklin teamed up with producer Marcus Paquin (The National, The Weather Station), with collaborator Owen Pallett on string arrangements (which were recorded by an orchestra in Prague).
Her first live dates in Australia since 2020, Julia will be joined by her band in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) 29 August.
