In keeping with the intention to celebrate women in music, the Australian Women In Music Awards (AWMA) has announced its latest inductee to the AWMA Honour Roll: Music legend Judith Durham AO.
Judith has held a beloved place within the hearts of music fans across the globe. With The Seekers, she was catapulted into the spotlight in the early '60s, the band becoming the first Australian pop group to top the charts in the UK and US and selling over 50 million records worldwide.
She pursued a solo career – a successful one, at that! – through the '70s, recording and touring through the '90s and '00s, solidifying her place in the Australian music industry among the greats.

“They say the longest journey begins with just one step, but you have to have a dream to start, and I had plenty of dreams," Judith says.
"It’s such a blessing to have spent my 76 years of life so far in musical expression; so emotionally healing, inspirational and uplifting."
