English neo soul, alternative R&B artist Joy Crookes returns to Australia early 2026.
Her first shows down under since 2022, the 'Feet Don't Fail Me Now', 'When You Were Mine' and 'No Hands' hitmaker will headline concerts in Sydney and Brisbane as well as playing New Year's Day at Melbourne event New Year's At The Bowl.
After returning to the stage playing Glastonbury's Other Stage on the Sunday afternoon of the festival, last month Joy returned with her sophomore album 'Juniper'.
An album written and recorded while Joy battled her mental health for a two-year period whilst also falling in love with someone. "I've never been this scared to fall in love," she says.
"I felt really traumatised. It made me realise how little trust I had in people at that time. This relationship wasn't based in ego or vanity; this was true love. He met me when I was full of feelings of inadequacy, worthlessness and defectiveness – yet chose to love me for who I actually was.
"He was choosing the truest, the ugliest form of me, which made me terrified. It brought up all my deep and dark insecurities and I had to face that, a little bit, in falling in love with him."
Written with a stripped-back approach and produced by long-time collaborators including Blue May (Kano, Jorja Smith), Tev'n (Stormzy) and Harvey Grant (Arlo Parks), 'Juniper' features standout guest appearances from Vince Staples on the incendiary 'Pass The Salt' and Kano on the bittersweet confessional 'Mathematics'.
"There was a time a few years ago, where I wasn't sure weeks like this would happen again. I wasn't even sure if I'd survive the making of this album," Crookes recently posted.
"'Juniper' exists and its sheer existence is a celebration enough, but the way you have all welcomed it into the world has made my heart swell to a size I didn't know it could. You have made this week so much more than a release week.
"Thank you for every purchase, every listen, every kind message and comment. You all know I'm never lost for words but I don't have the vocabulary to say thank you enough for sticking with me whilst 'Juniper' took its needed time. I'm back!!!! Can't wait to see you on tour."
Tickets on sale from 9am (local time) on 9 October.
