Josiah and the Bonnevilles will make his live debut in Australia this winter.
The former 'American Idol' contestant (from 2008, who became the only contestant to not make the Top 24 yet still land a major label record deal) will headline concerts in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in August. The Tennessee native with his roots in the Appalachians brings heartfelt storytelling to the stage, sharing tales soundtracked by the tones of folk, Americana and alt. country.
After not progressing further past the audition stages of 'American Idol', Josiah has slowly but deftly solidified his craft, after his main label debut album 'Come On Kid' failed to gain traction in 2010.
Not deterred, Josiah continued as an independent artist releasing his sophomore album 'Another Life' in 2011, before the mid-2010s saw him change his moniker to Josiah and the Bonnevilles, releasing two albums: 'On Trial' (2018) and 'Motel Mayday' (2021).
It was TikTok that allowed Josiah to capture a wider audience, his cover of Justin Bieber's 'Ghost' featuring on his '2022' album which also contains 'Blood Moon' as well as a cover of Taylor Swift's 'Anti-Hero'.
Josiah followed up with 2023 album 'Endurance' following festival performances at Lollapolooza and Bonnaroo, which then led to their debut at the Grand Ole Opry in 2024, playing alongside country music stars such as Vince Gill and Carrie Underwood.
Last year also saw the release of 'Country Covers II', which include covers of Chappell Roan's 'Good Luck Babe', Billie Eilish's 'Birds Of A Feather' and Wilco's 'Jesus etc.', before a sold-out 33-date North American tour.
Tickets on sale from 1pm (local time) on 2 April.
