Australian folk-pop troubadour, Josh Pike is returning to the road for a massive regional tour kicking off in October and running through to December.
The 30-date run of shows will visit a stack of regional centres including Queenscliff, Ballarat, Bunbury, Margaret River, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Launceston, Hobart, Port Macquarie, Newcastle, Blue Mountains, Cairns and Townsville – as well a bunch of bush towns that usually never see an artist of the ilk of Josh.Earlier this year, Josh (a five-time ARIA Award winner) released his seventh studio album titled 'To Find Happiness'.
"This tour will be solo, so me, my loop pedal and few bits and bobs, but essentially just me on stage," shares Josh. "I find it's a really amazing way to get to the core of the songs and the core of connecting with the audience.
"I'll also have the incredible Hayley Mary from The Jezebels playing [solo] support so there's a solid chance that we'll be joining each other on stage at some point."
These run of shows will also be Josh's opportunity to reconnect with his fan base after only a smattering of live concerts the last couple of years.
"I've had a few personal things happen in my life in the last few years that have really highlighted the importance of appreciating and truly enjoying all the good things in the moment," Josh says.
"That's something I'm actively trying to do, so touring will be an extension of that.
"Travelling, playing music with friends to people that appreciate what I do will definitely be one of the amazing things to be appreciative of.
"It's been such an isolating time in the last couple of years, so connecting with people in a room will be exciting!
"The few shows I've played this year have been joyous and had a really collective feeling, lots of singing along, so I'm keen to get more of that vibe."
