Soul-R&B-jazz musician and singer-songwriter, Jordan Rakei is headed home in early 2023 for a trio east-coast shows.
Born in New Zealand but spending much of his childhood in Brisbane (where he first rose to prominence almost a decade ago), Jordan has been based in London since 2014.Hailed by names like Gilles Peterson, Rakei will headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney before heading to New Zealand.
"First time back to these parts in over three years! Sorry it took so long," admits Jordan. "It's the Bledisloe Cup tour lol. What song you wanna hear live though? Got five albums to choose from."
Jordan released his debut album 'Cloak' independently in 2016, followed by 'Wallflower' (2017), 'Origin' (2019) and 'What We Call Life' (2021) via Ninja Tune. Earlier this year he released the four-track 'Bruises' EP.
