With the upcoming release of a new solo album, 'Prism', John Butler will embark on a 15-date tour across Australia this spring.
John will traverse from Bunbury and Fremantle then across to Adelaide, Melbourne, Bendigo, Ballarat, Wollongong, Sydney, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Bundaberg, Darwin, Cairns and Townsville from early September to early October."I am really looking forward to touring Oz again with the band for the 'Prism' album launch," John says about these dates that are his first Australian solo shows with a band since 2019.
"[I'm] loving playing with Ian Peres, Michael Boase and reuniting with Michael Barker on the drums. We've been having such a great time bringing these new songs to life onstage and the older songs are sounding BETTER THAN ever. Sorry couldn't help myself!"
The first track lifted from 'Prism' (which will be released on 5 September - pre-order it) is 'So Sorry' that features violinist Tim Snider and backing vocals from Jordan Anthony, Stella Cain and Ayo.
'Prism' follows John's two 2024 instrumental albums 'Running River' and 'Still Searching'. Butler is currently in North America completing a run of dates with Dispatch, Donavon Frankenreiter, G. Love & Special Sauce and Illiterate Light.
Joining Butler as special guest for the majority of the tour is ARIA Awards-nominated and -winning singer-songwriter Emma Donovan, whose new solo album 'Til My Song Is Done' is out now.
