This April learn the tricks of the trade from one of the world's leading audio engineers, Dave Aron in a two-hour workshop at JMC Academy.
A multi-platinum recording engineer, Dave has achieved success over three different decades of music. Starting his career after leaving New Jersey for the University Of Memphis, where he worked with many of the South’s prominent live and studio musicians, Dave was even assigned to manage the legendary Sun Studios, home to Elvis Presley.
Dave went on to work with U2 on their ground breaking album; 'Joshua Tree'. After conquering the Southern market, Dave moved to sunny California where he worked extensively with Prince on tracks such as 'Sexy MotherF***er', before moving on to Death Row Records. Here he recorded and mixed artists including Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg which has led to a career-long association with Snoop Dogg, serving as both his studio and live engineer, something he continues to work as today, currently touring with Snoop.
Dave has also been at the forefront of musical progression working with genre fusion acts like the Californian Sublime as well as Jane’s Addiction. Dave has contributed to the wide spread growth of professional audio digital plug-ins, having one of the most sought after Waves Preset collections. Exclusively attending JMC Academy campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this month, Dave will talk about his career, the industry, how to make it and most importantly giving many live demonstrations of his techniques.
