Australian living treasure, Jimmy Barnes will headline Blues On Broadbeach's Kurrawa Park Sunday Ticket concert performing songs from his R&B covers album 'Soul Deep'.
The revered frontman of Cold Chisel, Barnes won two ARIA Awards when 'Soul Deep' was released in 1991, the #1 album featuring covers of R&B classic cuts from the likes of Issac Hayes, Sam Cooke, Al Green, and Wilson Pickett. After being added to the Blues On Broadbeach programme for the first time last year, the Kurrawa Park Sunday Ticket is the only ticketed show as part of the 2025 line-up, staged in prime position on the beachside stage on Sunday 18 May.
One of Barnes' most beloved albums that includes covers of 'When Something Is Wrong With My Baby', 'I Gotcha', and 'River Deep Mountain High', Jimmy and his band will bring his signature energy and these much-loved classics to life.
"It's always great to go back to my roots and sing the songs I listened to as a young performer learning to sing," shares Jimmy. "'Soul Deep' has meant a lot in my life and every time the band and I get to revisit these songs, it's a great time for us and the audience."
Set to feature the likes of The Cruel Sea, Eli Paperboy Reed, Diesel, Steph Strings, Bondi Cigars, The Harlem Gospel Travelers and much more, the 24th annual Blues On Broadbeach is staged on multiple indoor and outdoor stages from 15-18 May, 2025.
Tickets to Kurrawa Park Sunday Ticket are on sale from 9am AEST on 26 February.
