One of the biggest Australian albums of the early 2000s, rockers Jet will mark the 20th anniversary of their seminal record 'Get Born' with a national run of shows in September.
Set to be the band's first live shows in five years, Jet will headline concerts in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.Jet will perform 'Get Born' in full revisiting an album that soundtracked so many people's lives in 2003 (and beyond) performing all the hits: 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl', 'Look What You've Done' and 'Cold Hard Bitch', as well as some of the lesser known but equally contagious numbers like 'Rollover DJ', 'Last Chance', 'Get What You Need' and 'Get Me Outta Here'.
"'Get Born' was a rare and unique moment of total planetary alignment where we somehow managed to capture lighting in a bottle," frontman Nic Cester says.
Adds bassist-keyboardist Mark Wilson: "I don't remember much about the actual day 'Get Born' was released. I think we were in Pittsburgh.
"I'm sure we celebrated, but to be honest we celebrated every night back in those days. 2003 was one, big, blurry haze for me."
'Get Born' has become one of the top five highest-selling Australian rock albums of all time (certified nine times platinum), winning six ARIA Awards and propelled Jet onto the global stage where they toured with the likes of Rolling Stones, Oasis and Kings Of Leon.
After calling it a day in 2012, the band briefly reformed in 2017 to play with Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. Now it's time to 'Get Born' once again.
Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 16 June.
