Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) 2019 Australia Tour

Wilco's Jeff Tweedy announces his first ever solo tour of Australia (May 2019).
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Grammy Award-winning artist Jeff Tweedy, the founding member and leader of the American rock band Wilco and before that, the co-founder of the alt-country band Uncle Tupelo, is heading to Australia for his first ever solo tour this May.

Since starting Wilco in 1994, Tweedy has written original songs for ten Wilco albums and collaborated with folk singer Billy Bragg to bring musical life to three albums full of Woody Guthrie-penned lyrics in the 'Mermaid Avenue' series.

In 2014, he released 'Sukierae', a musical collaboration with his son, drummer Spencer Tweedy. Last November also saw the release of Jeff’s new solo album, 'WARM'. The 11-track collection was recorded at Wilco‘s Chicago studio The Loft.

Jeff, who will be playing songs from all stages of his career to date, will be joined by Australian singer-songwriter Jen Cloher (excluding Meeniyan Town Hall).

General public tickets on sale from 25 February. Click here for more details.
